“She was dubbed a slut, thanks to a rumor her own boyfriend started.  I went to her parents to warn them; they said a funeral is cheaper than college.  She attempted suicide twice.  I sat with her and cried after the second time when Here’s to the Heartbreakers came on.  She laughed and said, “that’s so true!”  After that we went through all of your songs laughing and crying tears of joy knowing that someone else actually goes through the same things.  She said your music takes her to a happy place and makes everything feel alright.  She will never attempt suicide again and I thought you should know how much your music has impacted her.  Thank you. Thank you so much for saving my best friend’s life.  You truly do change lives and your music makes a HUGE difference in this world.”
